Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in 1983. Upon graduation he went on to play 7 years of professional football for five different teams (Tampa Bay Bandits, Orlando Renegades, Edmonton Eskimos, New Orleans Saints & Tampa Bay Buccaneers) in three different leagues (USFL, CFL NFL). After football Jeff earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and then started a career with Joseph E Seagram’s & Sons as a retail account manager. During his ten years he held several positions (Assistant State Manager, Midwest Retail Chain Manager). Seagram’s sold the company to Vivendi and Jeff started his banking career as a banker with Bank of America and within 5 years was an SVP –Market Manager of Premier Banking. He later joined Wachovia as the director of Private Banking for Tampa Bay. In June of 2015 Jeff joined SunTrust and after 5 years has transition to his current role as a Financial Advisor with New York Life.
There is a relatively small segment of leaders in the business world; individuals who seem able to build relationships, trust and rapport with almost anyone, and then are able to broker the relationship and make connections between people creating partnerships and alliances and motivating forward momentum to get things done.
Jeff George is one of those people, and getting things done and driving results – through collaboration, partnerships and relationships.
