Dr. Robert J. (Bob) Rohrlack, CCE

Dr. Bob Rohrlack, CCE, serves as the President and CEO of the Tampa Bay Chamber and the Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation. Since joining the Tampa Bay Chamber, the organization has introduced a nationally and internationally recognized minority business development program, started Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay, a program in cooperation with three universities targeting upperclassmen and women to develop their skills and prepare for life after graduation.
He has over 39 years of leadership experience in the chamber of commerce/economic development profession, having worked at the local, regional, and state levels. He is a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) and past chairman of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals. He was named the 2017 FACP Executive of the Year for Florida. The Tampa Bay Chamber has programs focusing on workforce development, leadership development, transportation, and military support, to name a few.
Dr. Rohrlack’s published research on chambers of commerce has appeared in The American Journal of Management, the International Journal of Management and Applied Science, and the Southeast Case Research Journal (Best Case Award), and The Muma Business Review. His dissertation, “Playing Darts in the Dark: How are Chamber of Commerce Leaders Aligned for Greater Effectiveness?” studied the factors influencing chamber of commerce effectiveness with implications for membership associations.
He grew up in Florida, has been married for 34 years, and has three grown sons and (almost) three daughters-in-law. He and his wife enjoy traveling and the mountains.
