George Todd

Co-Chair

In 2009 George Todd co-founded Chosen Foods which has become the world’s largest producer of Avocado Oil. In 2021 with over 80% of world’s production of Avocado Oil, Chosen Foods sold a controlling interest in the company to Private Equity. Today Chosen Foods revenues exceed half a billion dollars. In January 2023 Todd decided to retire to spend more time working with various charities as well as his passion for sailboat racing and fly fishing. George became interested in the Free at Last Coalition because of his extensive work in assisting an inmate in Florida navigate the clemency process.

George graduated from Seattle Pacific University and went on to work in the reinforced plastics industry where he developed patented corrosion resistant industrial plastic components to replace traditional stainless-steel materials. In his early 40’s Todd moved his career back towards his passion for financial business planning and went to work for an Investment Banking to assist early-stage technology companies with business, financial and capitalization plans, as well as raising seed and series A capital. Todd’s IB experience eventually lead him to assist Chosen Foods in its startup which resulted in his co-founding of the company.

George has a passion and heart for faith based charities including: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kings Christian School, Houses for the Homeless, Young Life, as well as Prison Ministries.
